STARKIDDIES CONTEST
Terms and Conditions
By enrolling in the Starkiddies contest, you ("Contestant") agree to be fully and unconditionally bound by these rules and regulations. You also represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements for the contest.
Furthermore, you agree to accept the decisions of Starkiddies Contest and any other sponsors of the contest as final and binding in all matters related to the contest.
CAUTION
Any attempt to deliberately damage the Starkiddies contest website or any related website, or to undermine the legitimate operation of the contest, may be a violation of criminal and civil laws.
If such an attempt is made, Starkiddies reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.
Starkiddies also reserves the right to remove any contestant who violates these rules or fails to behave appropriately from the contest and to disqualify any such winner.
All contestants must conduct themselves in an appropriate and respectful manner at all times while participating in the Starkiddies contest and must abide by the contest rules as well as any other regulations in effect during the various stages of the competition, including the final stage.
CONTEST PERIOD
Registration for the Starkiddies contest and stage one voting begins immediately. The entire contest will last for a duration of 3–4 weeks.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Participation in the Starkiddies competition is free of charge.
To enter, participants must meet the eligibility requirements and submit a photo of their child via the website or WhatsApp.
Contestants are encouraged to read and understand the terms and conditions of the competition before participating.
By submitting an entry, contestants agree to abide by all rules and regulations of the competition. Any false information provided will result in disqualification.
Entries must be submitted during the designated registration period to be considered valid.
The Starkiddies team reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and contestants at any time and to disqualify any entries that do not comply with the terms and conditions or have been tampered with.
By entering the competition, contestants grant the Starkiddies team permission to use their submitted photos or personal information for promotional and marketing purposes for one year without compensation.
WINNER SELECTION
The Starkiddies competition will use a three-stage voting process to choose the final winner.
Voting will take place online, with each vote costing ₦50 (Naira).
All voting will take place on the website or through any available payment method.
The Judge’s decision will be final and based on the most votes.
The winners will be chosen as follows:
Round 1: To advance to the second stage, all participants must gain at least 100 votes at ₦50 per vote.
When the first stage is completed, all participants who received the required number of votes (100 or more) will advance to Stage 2 when the timer runs out.
Stage 2: To advance to the final stage, participants must collect at least 600 votes at ₦50 per vote.
When the timer runs out, the top 10 contestants with the most votes advance to Stage 3.
Depending on the results of the voting, our organization may opt to award random contestants at this stage.
Only the Top 10 will advance to the next stage.
Stage 3: This is the final stage, in which the contestants must collect 1000 votes or more at ₦50 per vote.
After the final stage, the top ten contestants will be announced as the winners.
The first, second, and third place winners will get the first, second, and third awards, respectively, while the remaining top seven contestants will receive consolation prizes.
The prize for our consolation prize is 20% of the total votes cast.
The judge’s ruling, based on the votes cast, will be final, and there will be no further correspondence.
The winner must correctly fulfill the conditions to comply with the Competition Rules before being named the winner.
No later than 24 hours after the Grand Finale, each selected entrant will be notified by telephone/email.
Entrants' family, friends, and fans can vote for their favorite kid by clicking on the Vote button next to the contestant’s picture, which costs ₦50 per vote. Entrants are also allowed to vote for themselves as many times as they wish.
During the voting round, voters can vote for a contestant as many times as they like.
The leaderboard will display the person with the highest votes at the top, indicating who is in the lead.
The Organization maintains the right, but not the responsibility, to check, filter, and/or monitor the information submitted by entrants and to remove it if necessary.
GENERAL
The Organization will not be held liable for any technical malfunctions or problems with phone networks, computer systems, servers, providers, equipment, or software, or for failure of emails or entries to be received.
Entrants must ensure that any copyrighted material they upload during the competition is either owned by them or they have obtained permission from the original copyright owner.
The Organization reserves the right to modify or terminate the competition without notice.
By participating, Entrants agree to relinquish their rights and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Organization.
The Organization has the right to use footage and pictures from the competition, including images and personal details provided by Entrants, in any of its advertising materials (during and after the competition) without prior notice, consent, or payment.
The Organization may add Entrants’ personal information to its database and may share data with third parties for promotional purposes.
Voting costs ₦50 and is done on the website using available payment portals.
The Organization reserves the right to delete any information uploaded by an Entrant that is believed to be illegal, obscene, offensive, or defamatory or otherwise inappropriate.
The Organization, its associates, directors, and employees will not be held liable for any loss or damage suffered by Entrants.
The decision of the judges during the stages and grand finale is final and not open to correspondence.
HELPLINE WINDOW
The helpline and voting service for the Starkiddies competition are available from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays and 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays.
During these hours, votes can only be added and confirmed.
There is no refund policy for votes cast during the competition.
PRIZES
The Grand Prize for the Starkiddies Contest is ₦2,000,000.
The first and second place finishers will receive ₦1,500,000 and ₦1,000,000 in cash, respectively, as well as consolation prizes.
The top 10 contestants will be announced as the contest winners after the final stage.
The first, second, and third place winners will receive the first, second, and third awards, respectively, while the remaining top seven contestants will receive consolation prizes.
The panel of Judges' decision is FINAL (based solely on votes) and no correspondence will be entered into.
Any prize not claimed within 10 days of being notified will be forfeited. “Formal notification” refers to email or phone correspondence sent to the recipient's contact information.
Winners are responsible for the risk and expense of using their prizes.
The Organization will not be held accountable for the usage of rewards by the winners.
The Organization reserves the right to substitute awards of comparable value if the prize is unavailable.
Participation in this competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Only the Top 10 contestants and winners in Special Categories are eligible for prizes.
All rewards will be processed within 10 to 15 working days.
CONDUCT
1. By participating in the Starkiddies Contest, each entrant agrees to be bound by the Competition Rules, which will be posted on the starkiddies.com website/Instagram page and made available throughout the Contest Period.
2. Entrants agree to be bound by the decisions of the Organization, which shall be final and binding in all respects. The Organization reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant found to be:
Violating the Competition Rules;
Tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the smooth operation of the Competition;
Violating the terms of service, conditions of use, or general rules or guidelines;
Acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass others.
3. The Organization reserves the right to remove from the Competition any Winner who breaks such rules or fails to behave appropriately.
TERMINATION
The Organization reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate the Starkiddies Competition, in whole or in part, and/or modify, amend, or suspend the Competition and/or the Competition Rules in any way, at any time, for any reason without prior notice.
GOVERNING LAW
The Contest is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The Competition Rules may be subject to change at any time to comply with applicable legislation, without notice.
The laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria will govern and interpret all questions and issues related to the construction, validity, and enforceability of these Competition Rules, as well as the rights and obligations of the entrants and the Organization in connection with the Starkiddies Contest.
